The End of IDC 2012.

so, this is the LAST report for IDC 2012!! alhamdulillah, today (22nd April 2012) the final was finally held! it's Skyhawk VS Zephyr. guess who won? let's wait till the end of the post xD

so the debate supposedly started at 8am, but yeaahh you know janji Melayu. waking up early, to tell you the truth i'm kinda nervous at the same time lol. so the motion was..

THW Invade Syria! Gov - Skyhawk, Opp - Zephyr

i went out from home kinda late, around 8 am. so i thought that when i arrived there, the debate has already started etc. but arriving at the hall, my father said to me "are you going to debate alone?" LOL. that sounds good. debating myself ;p i saw the Skyhawk team nervously waiting outside, discussing among themselves. then i went in and saw the Zephyr team, Fakhry, Jijul, my form4 friends, the AJKs etc. 

when i arrived, yeah like usual "ehh madi datang!" "haaii madi~~" "haaa! tu madihah da datang". and suddenly fakhry n jijul, "u sit here(judge's chair) nanti" "huh? i become the judge? *muke blur gile*" "yeaa why not?" "well we'll see.. i got no problem" then Kak Laila called me on the stage "Madi, jadi timekeeper eh?" "aik? but Fakhry asked me to be the judge.." and for some reasons i changed from the judge to timekeeper, and Kak Ulfah be the judge.

so the participants, chairperson (Kak Laila) and the timekeeper (me) had to wait outside for the 'grand entrance'. well, i felt quite ashamed at that time, walking on the red carpet. it was funny as well when the song played during the entrance was actually Doraemon song =______= and then i turned back, and LOL the contestants' faces were like going to a war ;D

and then.. yeaahh the debate started! THW Invade Syria or NOT. 

GOV 1. Imran 2. Iqbal 3. Areff

OPP 1. Hasanah 2. Munierah 3. Syakirah

should i comment the debate? not here kot~ i will just tell u guys what the debate was actually about. the prime minister (Imran) got up and talked about the status quo in syria, which they're suffering and then talked about 'humanity' ; they dont want Bashar to continue ruling Syria. then the opp leader (Hasanah) got up and said that we can do nothing with invasion and talked about the freedom of the Syrian, which cannot be obtained through invasion.

Iqbal from the gov then cleared up their case again. well, i think he's really good although his voice is not that clear. he explained again how they should invade Syria, and how the invasion can help the freedom of Syrian. Munierah from opp then said that there're another way to help Syrian besides invasion and invasion will just worsen the situation. 

from my personal review, i though that opposition will win. BUT after the reply speech, gov managed to show us what they're actually proposing. Kak Laila think so too. but yeah, the result is in judges' hand, we can't predict ^^

after the english debate ended, the malay debate started. i'm not gonna talk bout it coz yeaahh i think the debate was really.. (sorry to say) boring not interesting~ on the motion 'Kerjasama Ketenteraan Menjamin Keamanan Serantau', i was kinda mad with the gov not showing what they should show, until the third speaker got up and it was very too late -,-

so now! the result! *dup dap dup dap* lol x yah nk dupdap sgtlah

Arabic Debate - F5 VS F4 (sorry i dont rmember the names), F5 Won! [Margin : 0.5]

Best Speaker : Iman Daniel Hakim (F4)

English Debate - Skyhawk VS Zephyr, Skyhawk Victory Twice In Row! (they won last year too) [Margin : 1]

Best Speaker : Iqbal (Opp Second Speaker)

Malay Debate - Tirana VS Maghribi, Maghribi Won! [Margin : 1]

Best Speaker : Maizatul (Gov Second Speaker)

so that's how the Intra-School Debate Champion 2012 in Maahad Hamidiah ended! i feel burdened as well right now coz yeah, i'm gonna be the next one to handle this competition next year, i guess. so Skyhawk and Soleh from Maghribi team won twice in a row, congratulations! congratulations to all the winners and also the participants, not to be forgotten, the organizers and thank you to all judges :) i hope next year will be better, insyaAllah ^^

p/s : im just so busy these days, with debate, PPIM camping, judge of badminton championship, lawatan koop, fesi kem smart solat F1~ n exam is coming in just 2 weeks!! ahhh what should i do -,- Oh Allah, make me stronger, insyaAllah :)
