The Journey Part 1

i think i can still remember very well when i first stepped into the world of ulama', Maahad Hamidiah. it was when my sister and i went to the school office to confirm my name. i was very amazed on how big the school compound is, and i just thought "ahh so this is how big and scary secondary school is.." it was lucky that my sister was a student there, hence she knew the school quite well. or else i believed we would be lost as both of us were very bad at recognising new places lol.

to have a flashback on how i entered mahiss, it was actually a quite unexpected decision. since SMK jalan 4 was a really famous school and known as 'a school which only smart students can enter', it was almost everyone's hope to be able to attend to that school, including me. but then since i received quite a lot of offers to be considered, i was wondering on which one would be the best. eventually, i followed my parents' decision which i believed was the best that was Maahad Hamidiah Kajang :)

knowing that i would be entering maahad, my family and i joked about the tudung labuh quite a lot. since i wasnt really a pious student back then (now, too, though) i always thought that wearing that so-called big hijab was just-- i dont know. i have never tried any tudung labuh at that time, so i was also wondering if i could even eat lol. you know when you have big clothes on you so the probability for you to mess up your appearance would be high haha. ridiculous. but then after trying it out it wasnt that bad afterall. well, at least better than this baby

meeting other unrecognisable students whom their faces all seemed very smart, handsome(?) and pretty, to be truthful they were making me felt worried and anxious at the same time. those who were from the same former schools were talking among themselves while i basically had nobody. but then after going into the class, it wasnt that bad afterall, thanks to me who were not choosy at picking friends lol. i think i can still remember those voices who started approaching me first ; aisyah(but she left maahad a couple day after registration) who led me to befriend with fatin my soulmate, atiqah the permaidani and some others.

the next was jeng jeng jeenngg orientation session! or we called it as 'minggu tarbiah wal qiadah'. i(we) learnt a lot of thing during this programme, or should i say its torturing as well lol. what i remember the most was that we were given a task to 'take care' of uncooked spaghetti (one piece for each person) throughout the session and ugh, i donno. how do you expect a busy(>,<) person to take a piece of a thin spaghetti everywhere and to make sure that it wont break for even a little? and it wasnt just a task, of course. those who broke the rules had to carry a piece of brick everywhere they went haha. again, ridiculous.
oh this is like optical fibre lol

but please dont misunderstand the seniors who handled this, as they helped us a lot too :) and what i had just realised a couple months ago was that my team's name during that programme was 'super junior' (you know, suju) lol. no wonder everytime we mentioned our group's name the facilitators would laugh a lot and now, i know why lol. oh excuse me, i wasnt involved at all as i was quite innocent at that time.. ;p

and then came our first exam in maahad, in fact, our very first exam in secondary school. i was not confident at all at the very first because all of my friends looked much smarter than me. but since the result wasnt that bad, the feeling was not that bad too ;) at around march (i think so, i cant remember well) a new boy came into our class and atiqah and i had to leave our places to give our HONOR to that one boy called.. haha guess that by your own. so we had to sit at the very back and i was seated next to ma'e (syima). it was nice sitting beside her because she knew i liked hafiz hamidun a lot at that time so we talked about nasyid most of the time and she did teach me tarannum as well, and she complimented me too ;) BUT the bad thing was that my spot was a very perfect spot for my seniors to watch me. we were scolded a lot back then and it was a quite bad thing(lol) to have to study at the building next to our seniors lol. their eyes would always look at me as if i was their perfect food and it was... scary.

IM WATCHING YOU

and that was how my form 1 passed, although there were still a lot of things that i dont think i can write here in one post coz it will be VERY long, 2009 was basically my starting point for a lot of things i started to debate, i was a koopian since form 1, and i realised my academical potential(?). and the most important, i met a lot of amazing friends. but that was just the starting.

the next year, with the absence of our seniors to take care of us anymore, and the presence of that so-called juniors, with the feeling of 'oh now i am a senior!', most of us lost our mind and did a lot of unexpected things. people say form2 is the worst year ever to be in secondary school, and i guess that words are indeed true..

..to be continued

p/s : SPM in 10 days, please pray for us! :)
